Germana Grosso era una tipica casalinga piemontese sempre occupata nelle sue faccende quotidiane. Senza grilli per la testa ignorava cosa fosse la telepatia, gli alieni e tutto quanto ruotava intorno a questi mondi.
Tuttavia verso la fine del 1965 i giornali le dedicarono ampio spazio, persino con un’intervista di Dino Buzzati sul Corriere della Sera.
Germana, tempo prima, aveva raccontato ad alcuni conoscenti che la sua mente veniva attraversata da messaggi ai quali non sapeva dare spiegazioni e tanto meno riusciva a comprendere da chi giungessero.
Le suggerirono di usare una macchina da scrivere e riportare su carta tutti i messaggi che la sua mente captava.
Germana iniziò a scrivere pigiando tasto dopo tasto riempiendo fogli su fogli.
Il risultato fu una raccolta di messaggi tutti datati, alcuni riportavano anche l’ora della trasmissione telepatica, nei quali si riscontrava un quoziente intellettivo ben superiore a quello della casalinga torinese.
Per mesi quei messaggi rimasero chiusi nella casa di corso Vittorio Emanuele finché Giovanna non si decise a parlarne con un giornalista.
La storia ebbe gran risonanza quando fu presentato un messaggio che con sei mesi d’anticipo preannunciò l’assassinio del Presidente Kennedy.
La donna raccontò che i messaggi le giungevano da extraterrestri e in particolare da uno di loro:
Ithacar.
Ithacar le parlava di sé, della sua famiglia, del suo mondo popolato da piante e fiori, aiutando la signora ad immortalarli in quadri dai colori vivaci. Piante e fiori che non furono mai riconosciute come appartenenti al mondo terrestre.
Le fu inviata anche una sorta di “ricetta” contro il cancro che sottoposta a ricercatori oncologici così risposero: ”Una strada verso cui sono stati già effettuati esperimenti risultati per ora infruttuosi”.
