Le due amiche di Ra
Nei Testi dei Sarcofagi compaiono le due “Amiche di Ra”: le dee Tebteb e Cieciet o Tjetjet.

Favorite del dio, possedevano un terribile potere di seduzione, che usavano per inseguire i defunti nel regno dei morti e sottrarre loro le energie spirituali, i poteri magici, la saggezza e il ba.

Il defunto doveva porre la massima attenzione e difendersi dai tentativi di seduzione delle due Amiche. Se avesse ceduto, sarebbe precipitato per sempre nella fossa della distruzione.

Lo scopo delle due dee era di rinvigorire Ra in potenza, in energie spirituali e magiche ed anche in saggezza.

Le Due Amiche erano solo un’illusione ottica creata dallo stesso Ra per impadronirsi del potenziale magico dei defunti e come i maghi di allora, aveva infuso la vita alle due figure con i materiali usati per tali pratiche: cera o escrementi.

In che modo poteva difendersi il defunto?

Per prima cosa era un akh ed era dotato dell’energia hekau, poteva quindi respingere le due Amate da Ra, ricorrendo all’aiuto delle formule contenute nei Testi dei Sarcofagi.

Secondo queste formule egli si proclamava Ra o Atum, in grado quindi di conoscere i nomi segreti delle due Amiche e allontanarle.

In questo modo, il defunto assimilato a Ra, si disinteressava di loro e dichiarava che non c’era nulla in terra, in cielo o nel Nilo che egli non sapesse.

Egli tiene gli occhi e le orecchie ben aperte.

Il suo cuore è forte e lo protegge e non solo distoglie lo sguardo dalle due seduttrici, ma regge nella mano un coltello rivolto verso le dee.

Il mito delle due Amiche di Ra, nacque in un momento in cui in Egitto vi era molta confusione circa le dottrine da adottare.

In seguito scomparve dalla religione ufficiale e quindi dalle dottrine funerarie che nel Nuovo Regno tendevano sempre più ad aumentare la potenza di Ra, ed era impensabile mostrare il dio come un temibile avversario dei defunti nella Duat.
